View from the top left corner. Showing the minimalist plating, top patio and studio area. Hiding from the rain! Inside the studio looking down the garden. Our limestone and lawned fish makes and interesting path through the garden. Shows walling section that retains the studio terrace. Also cottage style planting bed to the front. Diarmuid Gavin opened this years Southport Flower Show. One of the unusual creatures at this years flower show. He better not eat our plants!! View from left side of the garden showing white pillar in the forground. Shows the full extent of the rear white wall with the studio snuggly placed in the corner. Themed watering can planter situated by the formal pond. Lobelia, Lavandula, Liatris and Verbena make up the planting in the front formal bed. This picture reveals the deck in front of the studio. This makes a nice custom built terrace. Another view of the deck work in front of the studio. The front raised bed. Containing low maintenance planting. Close up shot of the cottage style planting bed. Formal pool area with an elegant japanese maple in the forground. The tranquil formal pool. Showing aluminium sculpture and water planting. Our name board for the show. Framed by the Phyllostachys aurea. Formal pool incorperated in a full length shot of the garden. By terracing on multiple levels, we feel, makes good use of the slope in the garden. The inclusion of mirrors gave added interest to our garden. From the front, the mirrors appear like arches in the rear wall. Adding the lighting to the garden increased its look duringthe night time.

Our 2006 garden 'Reflections on Studio Living by Design' really caught the judges eye this year. We received a silver guilt medal for our efforts. Our garden concept was to provide a working environment in the garden. This comprised of a studio building with extended deck, walled patio area, formal pool and specially selected specimen planting.
